Product Manager: Logistics, cash flow & order management

About Dagens

Dagens is on a mission to create a resilient and transparent food system using technology. By making direct trade between sustainable food producers and chefs easy and financially viable, we remove intermediaries and end up with a system with lower emissions, better soil heath, lower food waste, and higher food quality - at competitive food prices. A win-win-win, you might say.

Our user base range from Michelin restaurants to canteens serving thousands of guests, and from producers selling produce from potatoes to kombucha to oysters. We’re currently operating in Norway and Denmark, but have high ambitions for scaling.

About the role

Dagens owns no cars and no invoicing system. We do however manage and facilitate the flow of goods and information, ensuring produce gets transported fresh from farm to kitchen - and that the money ends up in the appropriate bank account after trading. Our distributed supply chain is unique in its kind, and the same can be said about the technical systems behind it.

We are now looking for a PM to own the product development of our supply chain, order management and cash flow services - taking it to the next level. We are scaling rapidly, and it is vital that the product is tight and as automated as possible, giving all actors involved - Dagens, our transportation partners, the producers, and the consumers - the information needed at all points on an orders’ journey.

You will be part of a dedicated and solution-oriented tech & design team, with a love of solving hard problems. Your job is equally about helping to focus the team effort and motivation into the right problems to solve based on our users’ and the businesses needs, and about owning the “business risk” and “business logic” part of the solutions created.

What we do and build in Dagens has never been done before. We are not a traditional marketplace nor a wholesaler - and we have no intention of becoming it. The nature of our mission - rethinking something that’s currently broken, forces us to constantly be creative and think differently. At times, this will be the biggest constant in your role.

You will get autonomy and empowerment to make the choices you think are most important to reach our goal - working closely with the designers and developers on the team, as well as the CPO and CTO.

What you will achieve

What you need to bring:

Nice to haves (a plus, but not a requirement):

Beyond this, we use our hiring process to discover whether the match is right for all parties.

As a distributed tech company your location is of less importance to us. We currently have offices in Copenhagen & Oslo, so proximity to these is a plus, but not a must.
